What do you get when you combine an amusement park with an aquarium and then add water to the mix? A water theme park, of course! These unique parks offer fun for the whole family in one location and are becoming increasingly popular among tourists. If you plan to visit or live in one of these cities this summer, be sure to check out the following 7 amazing water theme parks that will make a splash this summer!

1) Sydney Aquarium

Sydney Aquarium was the first public aquarium in Australia and is home to over 8,000 marine animals. The best part about visiting Sydney Aquarium? You can see an underwater tunnel that takes you through the Great Barrier Reef. Visitors can also watch shows with dolphins, sharks, jellyfish, and seahorses. They have daily feedings for penguins and fur seals too! For the most up-to-date information on their exhibits, click here.

2) Singapore’s Underwater World

The country that has the most water theme parks in the world is Singapore. It has 6, and they are all located on Sentosa Island. My favorite is called Underwater World, which opened in 1997. It’s right on the beach, so you can see sharks and rays swimming by while you’re sitting on the sandy shoreline or lounging at one of the many outdoor restaurants. There’s also an underwater tunnel where you can see exotic fish in the heart of the park without ever getting wet.

3) Iguazu Falls in Argentina

The Iguazu Falls are one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world. Spanning 2,700 square miles and with 275 separate falls, it’s no wonder that this is one of the most popular destinations in South America. The Iguazu Falls are also home to some of the largest and most spectacular waterfalls on Earth. At nearly 1,200 feet wide and 400 feet high, their awe-inspiring power can be felt from the top of Devil’s Throat bridge. Be sure to bring your rain jacket because these natural wonders never stop pouring.

4) Sea Park in Ireland

Sea Park in Ireland is one of the best water parks to visit this summer. What makes it so great? Well, first off, they have incredible slides that will get you wet and wild! You can slide down the Aqua Avalanche or The Jet Stream or even go on The Waverunner. There’s also an amazing wave pool that has waves for all levels so you don’t have to worry about getting knocked over. They also have a lazy river where you can just float around and relax with your friends.

5) Amazonia in Brazil

Amazonia is an eco-adventure water theme park that has been ranked as one of the top 10 water parks in the world by TripAdvisor. The Amazonia experience begins when you arrive at the park, where you will be given a backpack filled with water gear and supplies. Once you have changed into your wetsuit and life vest, it’s time to head off to explore this tropical paradise. You can try out all sorts of thrilling rides like the Catamaran Cruise or ride on rapids through the mangroves.

6) Changbaishan National Nature Reserve

Located on the border between China and North Korea, Changbaishan National Nature Reserve is known for its stunningly clear water. It’s also home to one of the tallest waterfalls in Asia, with a height of over 200 meters (650 ft)! With such beautiful scenery, it’s no wonder that people flock here year-round to swim, hike, and explore. If you’re looking for something a little more adventurous than just hanging out at the beach, this is your destination. Check out their picturesque waterfall, take a dip in their hot springs or enjoy spectacular views from high up in the mountains. You won’t regret visiting this amazing water theme park!

7) Atlantis The Palm Dubai

Atlantis The Palm Dubai is the world’s first integrated water and theme park. Located on the shores of the Arabian Gulf in Dubai. It was the brainchild of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The project was designed to bring together an extraordinary mix of marine life with different themes: Lost City of Atlantis, Ancient Egypt, Arabian Nights, and Aquaventure. The Lost City of Atlantis attraction combines a state-of-the-art 3D theater with virtual reality technology that transports guests deep into the legendary sunken city. It offers immersive rides, interactive exhibits, and intriguing games for all ages.
